Interaction Program on Art, literature and women participation.
An interaction program was held on subject women in art and history organized by The Daywalka Foundation, which is working in the field of women and children.
Speaking about women participation in Nepalese stage, actor Krishna Shah Yatri said that women participation in present Nepali stage is still minimal. He presented various reasons that have restricted women participation and female artists on the stage.
Popular personalities in the related field were invited as speaker in that program. Renowned writer, Ramesh Bikal said that these are need of suitable and sensitizing child-literature.
Similarly, writer Tulashi Diwas had presented his views about importance of literature in women empowerment and women development. He said that art and literature should build the social awareness and emphasized that the role of women would be more effective.
Most of the speakers remarked that though there is an important role of women and children in Nepali literature, art or stage, there are still many problems behind the scene.
Various programs are run by Daywalka Foundation in Nepal since two years in Human trafficking control. Women empowerment and children development.
At present this organization had established women and children security Research Centre and legal library in Kathmandu. At present this research centre is running sill trainings for orphans and victims living in various organization.
